Date Calculator
Use this date calculator to count the days between two dates or to find the date that is a number of days before or after any date.
What Is a Date Calculator?
A date calculator works out the time between two dates or finds a new date by adding or subtracting days. It saves you from counting on a calendar when you plan a project deadline, a visa window, a lease end, a pregnancy milestone or a countdown to an event.
How to Calculate Days Between Two Dates
Choose Days between two dates, enter a start date and an end date and the calculator returns the total number of days, the number of weeks and days, the exact years, months and days and the number of weekdays. For example, from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 is 364 days. Add one day if you want to count both the first and last day.
How to Add or Subtract Days From a Date
Choose Add or subtract days, pick a start date, enter the number of days and select Add or Subtract. This answers common questions such as what date is 30, 60 or 90 days from today, or what date was 120 days ago. The result also shows the day of the week.
Business Days vs. Calendar Days
Calendar days include every day. Business days count only Monday through Friday. The weekday count here excludes weekends but not US federal holidays, so subtract any holidays that fall in your range, such as Memorial Day or Thanksgiving, for an exact working-day figure.
Leap Years and Month Lengths
The calculator handles leap years automatically. A leap year, such as 2028, adds February 29 and makes the year 366 days long. Months with 28, 30 and 31 days are counted from the real calendar.
Common Uses
- Deadlines: contract notice periods, return windows and filing dates.
- Planning: wedding countdowns, trips and project timelines.
- Personal: days until retirement, a birthday or a goal date.
